The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical
center is committed to caring for premature and medically fragile newborns.
We believe that we have an obligation to each and every infant as their
lives depend on the availability of the highest quality, most compassionate
patient care possible.
Our NICU provides an unparalleled combination of state-of-the-art technology,
a talented team of physicians and specialists, a highly trained and experienced
staff, and the family-centered personal care that has become a trademark
of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center.
The NICU at AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center features:
- 11-bed NICU
- California Children’s Service (CCS) approved Community Level facility
- Full range of specialized, family-centered services – intensive,
intermediate and continuing care for premature and medically fragile newborns
- Neonatal transport
The NICU Team includes:
- Board-certified Neonatologists and Pediatric Sub-Specialist physicians
- Lactation specialists
- Neonatal nurse practitioners and nurses
- Nutritionists
- Occupational and Physical Therapists
- Respiratory Care Practitioners
- Pharmacists
- Social Workers
We understand that having an infant in the NICU is a stressful time, and
we are here to support families through this difficult time.
The NICU does not have set visiting hours. We strongly encourage parents
to visit when they are able and spend as much time as possible bonding
with their baby.

Baby Erica Zambrano was discharged on Jan 16th after 4 and a half months
at AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit. Erica spent 146 days in NICU which is the longest any baby has ever
stayed in our NICU! Thank you to our NICU staff who truly make a difference
every day. Congrats to the Zambrano Family on their new journey with baby Erica!
